Ocean Tariff Stable by: WIL Lines
The world export trade has some interesting news for all shippers in USA, as per all ocean freight exports had an increment of 1.3% in April comparing to the previous month and an accelerated growth of 18.8% year-over-year. Even though Imports in the US had dropped 0.4% during the same month of April comparing to the previous month, but grew 15.9% year-over year, we are keeping heads up for a better business future in the US market. (Source: US Census) In addition, price index for US imports rose 0.2% in May, followed by 3% increase in March and 2.1% in April. The price index for US exports rose 0.2% in May after rising 0.9% the preceding month. In the contrary, as per June 06, 2011 an average spot market rate for a container in FEU price drop comparing to the previous week, and 19.1% lower than the rate for the same week last year.
